The FJ80 speedlight can be used as a traditional speedlite for on-the-go portraits of a bride walking down the aisle, or for fill lighting when you need just a touch of light during a portrait session. With the FJ80, you will enjoy the first touchscreen multi-brand camera compatible 80Ws round head speedlight with integrated FJ Wireless Flash System wireless radio transceiver.
This speedlight provides an extensive 400+ full-power flashes per charge, lightning fast 0.5 to 1.2 second recycle time, and unrivaled color temperature stability, this unique speedlight provides revolutionary compatibility with most Canon, Nikon, Sony (with adapter), Fuji, Panasonic Lumix, and Olympus cameras (see compatibility chart).
With its integrated 2.4Ghz transceiver, the FJ80 can be used on-camera as both a flash and transmitter to control the FJ400 and as well as other FJ Series Flashes directly from the hot-shoe. When mounted off-camera the FJ80 acts as a client speedlight and can be triggered via an on-camera mounted FJ80, FJ-X2m Universal Wireless Trigger, or Canon RT system transmitter.
The FJ80 speedlight provides the most accurate color temperature stability at 5500K ( +/-150K) across its entire 9-stop output range in flash increments of either 0.1 or 1.0 stops. This means color-consistent images throughout the entire shoot, along with matching color across the entire FJ Flash Series. The FJ80's wireless connectivity allows for control of up to 16 groups across 31 separate channels from up to 328 feet (100m) to prevent interference with other photographers or to shoot several individual setups.
With an intuitive full-color LCD touchscreen display, the FJ80 features Manual and TTL Flash Modes, High Speed Sync (HSS) up to 1/8000s, Continuous Capture up to 20 fps, Automatic Memory Recall, Front and Rear Curtain Sync, group and channel assignment, Group Exposure Compensation, TTL to Manual Equivalent, modeling lamp settings, and much more.
The FJ80 features a 3W 5600K ( +/-200K) LED modeling lamp with auto-adjust and independent output control. Its removable 11.1V 1000mAh lithium polymer battery provides DC power for on-location freedom and charges to full capacity in just 2 hours. This FJ Wireless Flash 2-Light Portable Portrait Kit includes an extra lithium polymer battery for increased flashes at a wedding or event.
The included FJ80 magnetic mount speedlight accessories attach quickly and provide additional lighting control for capturing more creative images. Accessories include a 30-Degree Honeycomb Grid & Gel Pack that allows photographers to narrow or change the light beam color to create dramatic effects or change the color of backgrounds. The FJ80 Diffusion Dome creates a broad, 360-degree light source that's perfect for illuminating a large space at an event or for architectural photography.
When more power is required for formal portraits outdoors or portraits in full sunlight, the FJ400 is the perfect go-to strobe. The FJ400 AC/DC strobe packs 400Ws with under a second recycle speed at full power and offers an impressive 480+ full-power flashes per charge. This powerful, yet lightweight strobe offers unrivaled performance with the most accurate color temperature throughout its entire 9-stop output range. Trigger the flash with the included FJ80, or the FJ-X2m (sold separately).
With an intuitive menu system and LCD color display, the FJ400 features Manual and TTL Flash Modes, High Speed Sync (HSS) up to 1/8000s, Freeze Sync up to 1/19000s, Continuous Capture up to 20 fps, Mask Function, Delay Function, Automatic Memory Recall, and much more. The removable lithium polymer battery provides both DC power for on-location freedom and AC trickle-charge performance when the state of charge is above 25%.
The FJ400's extended flash tube provides optimal light output allowing for a wider, even spread for filling light modifiers. Equipped with a Bowens S-Type mounting system, the FJ400 is easy to pair with your favorite softbox. The FJ400 includes a Magnetic 5" Reflector, Magnetic CCT Gel Set, and a Rapid Box Switch Bowens Insert. This insert allows you to pair your strobe with any Rapid Box Switch modifier.
The included Lite Traveler Backpack allows you to store and transport this portable flash kit with ease. Equipped with a large, central storage compartment featuring removable dividers, the backpack is ideal for traveling comfortably with your lighting kit. It features various zippered compartments for storing smaller accessories, a separate internal compartment with three padded sleeves for storing laptops and tablets, a convenient water bottle pouch, a tripod holder with retention straps and more.
