    Description

    The Priolite MBX500 is an on-location 500W/s battery-powered strobe. Key features include:
    Removable Battery.
    The MBX500 battery provides about 220 full-power flashes per charge, with that number dramatically increasing as power output is lowered. The battery slides into the strobe housing itself, providing an all-in-one setup that’s easy to move around with. The battery charger doubles as an AC adapter, allowing you to continue shooting while charging.
    Flash Output.
    With a maximum output of 500W/s, the MBX500 can be used for a wide variety of shooting needs. There’s 5.0 stops of adjustment in 1/10 stop increments, giving you an effective range of 16-500W/s. It has a full-power recycle time of 2.5 seconds, and offers up to 5 flashes per second at minimum output. Flash duration ranges from 1/15,000 to 1/4,500 sec. depending on power level, making it useful for freezing fast-moving subjects. The UV coated glass dome provides protection as well as color temperature stability.
    LED Modeling Array.
    While most battery-powered strobe options don’t have modeling light capabilities, the MBX500 has an LED array that gives a tungsten-equivalent output of 80W.
    Triggering Options.
    The MBX500 has a standard 1/8" mini sync input for using the included sync cable, as well as an optical slave. However, it also features a built-in radio receiver that’s compatible with the Priolite Radio Remote Control (included).
    Durable Build.
    The sturdy aluminum shell offers great protection, ensuring the strobe will continue working during heavy use. It has a reinforced elongated umbrella sleeve that accepts umbrellas shafts up to 10mm (not included). The included 7" reflector has the same durable build quality as the strobe unit. Light modifiers are attached via its Bowens S-type mount.
