Outdoor reflectors harness the power of sunlight to add the right touch of fill to modify an otherwise high contrast lit subject. However, along with the great outdoors and the abundance of sunlight, comes the challenge of breezes and wind. A waft of air can ruin the most carefully placed position.
The Glow 42" Collapsible Circular Wind Proof Reflector with Handles is the world's first wind resistant reflector with the Glow advantage. We took the naturally reflective properties of aluminum fabrics, spun in a weave pattern that allows the offending breezes to pass through, while the light is captured and reflected off of its randomized serrated metallic surface. The forces of the airstream are not diverted around the disc but waft between the openings. The results? An exclusive wind taming version of the all-important disk reflector for outdoor use - even in a gale.
The patent-pending Glow Collapsible Circular Wind Proof Reflector adds the right touch of reflected bounce light while allowing the airy breeze a pass through the disk. The serrated fabric act as a sieve to let air to pass through unlike the stiff resistance that solid disks pose. Instead of acting like a sail, resisting the force of oncoming gusts, the unique design of the reflector reduces wind resistance while providing a significant fill. Even if you are satisfied with your current silver reflector and it's wind issues, this model results in a much smoother, less harsh effect on your subject. While it is not as mirrorlike as a traditional collapsible reflector, it delivers the light without being overwhelming.

The Glow 25" EZ Lock Octa Small Quick Softbox sports a dynamic eight-sided deep parabolic shape featuring flattering, soft and luxurious color lighting with all the significant advantages of the softbox/umbrella quality with an unbeatable safe and sure EZ positive and lock system. No more clumsy construction fumbling of flex resistant rods, or frustration for careful alignment of speedring holes. The 8-ribbed softbox opens up and closes down, umbrella style. The self-catch EZ Lock surrounds a thick center shaft, providing a comfortable place for your fingers to push-lock the mechanism open, and a generously sized release to close the softbox painlessly. The quick-to-setup umbrella-like assembly has all the advantages of a metallic magnum style reflector without the delicate nature. This collapsible unit was borne for the road or studio, with sturdy aluminum support rods for structural stability and extraordinary fabric strength.
This moderate 25-inch diameter edition of the Octa Quick Softbox is especially suitable for everything from fashion to portraiture, illuminating an entire person and small groups with smooth, nonetheless, exciting light. The finely finished silver interior lining makes it easy to achieve magnificent specular highlights, brings out sharp details, and provides the most focused indirect lighting, along with soft shadow definition. Mastering the light is no accident . The reversible opaque deflector cover causes light to bounce throughout and flood the wall of the outer bowl of the softbox, resulting in a softer spread of indirect light. By flipping the deflector disk, you can realize differing levels of light distribution. Used independently, the deflector disk can function as a central circular panel to block hotspots, while maintaining the pop of the silvered rim of material extending beyond its position. The use of the outer diffusion material goes even farther to produce very soft light, thereby providing no less than three levels of contrast, sharpness, and dimension.
With the included Eggcrate Grid, you gain more control of a light source's beam by covering the front of the softbox with the grid, virtually eliminating spil and emphasise the model facial structure as well as the eyes, lips, nose, and chin. The lightweight accessory attaches to the rim of the softbox with a Self-Securing Closure that follows the perimeter of the grid. Makes you look like an absolute lightmaster.
