Description
This is a Bowens Mono 24000 (guide # 320) studio monolight in excellent condition. The strobe shows very minor indications of use. (see photos).
The 9" reflector is in excellent condition, a power cord, a speed ring for mounting a soft box and a protective travel cover for the flash tube are included. The unit is fully tested and everything works as intended.
This is a beast of a strobe. At full power ASA 100 at 10 feet my light meter indicates f/32. This calculates to a guide number of 10 feet x 32 = 320.
My Bowens Gemini 750 (750 watt flash) with the same set up indicates f/11 or a guide # of 110. This makes the Bowens 24000 one of the most powerful studio stobes available. For someone wanting to get into studio photography this is a great starter strobe. The speedring can be used for mounting a soft box, the strob also has an mount for umbrellas and there are many reflector dishes available.
For someone who does weddings or events, the Mono 24000 bounced off a wall or ceiling will light up a very large room.

The Mono 24000 can be triggered by several options;
1. by attaching a receiver (Calumet Lightlink or other unit) to the strobe with a PC cable. A matching transmitter must be fitted to the camera.
2.by attaching an electric eye (Bowens Monocell Mark 4 or Wein Ultra Slave or other receiver) in the stobe's phono plug recepticle that can be activated by a second electronic flash on the camera or triggered by the camera.
3. by a PC cord attached to the camera
